Friday Night Mobsters

Postby Squire » 23 Jan 2010, 13:26

Seeing as there will be a 1920's vibe and a jazz band on Friday night, some of us thought we might dress up as 1920s Chicago style gangsters and flappers. Costumes are cheap and easy! It's not in theme, but I'm sure someone creative could come up with a Chicago Mob invades Henley crossover story - or maybe it's just the Star Trek episode A Piece of the Action!

If anyone wants to join in, please do! :D

Intending to take part in this, Cleo has nearly finished her costume, and I will be looking for one on the net later.

Bought some cheapo gear from ebay - hat, white tie, spats, spiv moustache, tommy gun etc. Just gonna combine all of that with a black shirt. Sorted! :D

If only I had the time to create a "Bugsy Malone" custard pie splurge gun...

Not sure about any costumes this year as life has been a little frantic & continues to be so. I have original 1920s jewellry & bags but unfortunately can't fit the clothes. I have put a lot of weight on in the last year & feeling somewhat yuk about it.

Won't be doing costumes this year. Lack of motivation and been a bit hectic on the work front!
